Now that summer has arrived i have a one day course on Saturday to take you through . The course will consist of summer cooking made easy and a little barbecuing.

Just to let you know that myself and the fantastic Mr Edward Hayden are hosting the “Tasty Food on a Budget” cookery demonstration next Thursday night (April 29th) at 8pm in The Stanley Center in the Hebron Business Park.

This event is a fund raiser for the Elemental Youth Project which will travel to the M.I.S Orphanage in Maseru, Lesotho at the end of May to undertake work to improve the quality of accommodation at the orphanage.

The tickets for the evening cost 20 euro each and this includes tickets for the raffle.

It’s great to see the back of the snow and to be able to get around the place (trying to avoid the potholes!). We have received a large number of inquiries from customers asking if we would cater for the upcoming Communions and Confirmations.

As you know we are a small operation where the focus in on quality and attention to detail. After giving the matter a good deal of thought we have decided to cater for a small number of Communications and Confirmations, we want to provide the best service we can and keep a special atmosphere for this great occasion.

Due to the fact that so many children have Communion or Confirmation at the same time we are severely restricted in the number of customers we can accommodate.

Another year, another set of courses and classes – details of the Spring/Summer schedule are now available on our website (here).

We have some very interesting classes this year including “Catering for Communions & Confirmations” (Wed 24th Feb), “Spoil your Mother for Mothers Day” (Sat 13th March) and “Easy Entertaining – Tapas & Wine Tasting with Sommelier” (Sat 8th of May). Our “Tapas & Wine Tasting” will feature an expert in wines who will be happy to provide advice, guidance and tips. This day course is a must for wine lovers!

A very belated Happy New Year to everyone, I hope that the New Year will be both peaceful and prosperous for all. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my family, friends and students for their help and support over the last year. It would not have been possible without you, so many thanks.

I was delighted to see my book mentioned by the Irish Independent food writer and critic Georgina Campbell on Saturday (2nd Jan). She also included my recipe for Luxury Cottage Pie, it was a bit of a shock to see my pots on display in a national paper! You can read the article here.
